Science Hypoxic tent considered doping? While confirming that simulated altitude systems, like natural altitude, can improve performance, the World Anti-Doping Agency has concluded that the hypoxic systems are not doping. "The Executive Committee approved the recommendation of WADA's scientific committees not to add artificially-induced hypoxic conditions to the 2007 List." Furthermore, WADA president Dick Pound was quoted as saying, "The biggest item for discussion was whether we should put on the list of prohibited methods artificially hypoxic conditions and the consensus - in fact, the overwhelming consensus of our health, medicine and research committees - was that, at this time, it was not appropriate to do so." Additionally, all of the published scientific literature and over 10,000,000 athlete hours spent in altitude tents testify to the safety of altitude simulation. For more information download the files placed below.
